I have a lot of things I juggle as most of us do but my love for creating has always been in the mix in one way or another. As a paper cutting artist my love for this medium comes from a quest for balance. Maintaining the integrity of the paper and its vulnerability against the precision of a blade and balancing the two. Each piece is hand drawn & hand cut. Tools of the trade are a scalpel, multiple blades, a sheet of paper & lots of patience.
I am inspired by a multitude of artists, all manner of
creative & crafty people, design, typography, architecture, music, nature
.... the list goes on & on. Along with paper cutting I also love drawing,
painting & photography.
I am naturally drawn to patterns, symbols & repetitive
rhythms that are present in everyday life & these are evident throughout my
work.
